University Partnerships
Lyman Briggs College works closely with other MSU departments, divisions, and colleges to offer a variety of academic and co-curricular programs.

Some of our closest partners include the other residential colleges, James Madison College (JMC) and the Residential College in Arts and Humanities (RCAH), and MSU's Honors College. Our joint ventures include specializations, cross-listed courses, student competitions such as the Briggs-Madison Olympics and the annual Canoe Race, and student-faculty gatherings like the Fireside Chats.

Briggs also collaborates regularly with MSU's Division of Residential and Hospitality Services and MSU's Department of Resident Life to establish creative living-learning spaces and supportive programs for the student residents of Holmes Hall.

Briggs offers coordinate majors in partnership with many departments in colleges across campus; these enable students to obtain their scientific foundation and their HPS curriculum within Briggs, while pursuing more specialized courses in the coordinate department.
